5 Things to Consider in Making a Video for your Brand

A video is a great tool to send across a message without the cost of video production. It is also a great starter for every presentation without the usual powerpoint presentations. You can visually create an animated video that is both entertaining and informative. Here are the steps on how you can create your own compelling animated video for your business.

  1. Who is your target audience?

Your audience will be the one you want to send the message. Your animated video will be most effective if you understand your target audience. It can be based on age, ethnicity, location, scope of work, gender, etc. All concept should be based on your research about the interests of your target audience.

  1. What is the message you want to communicate?

The message you want to communicate is based on what you have come up in number 1. The message should be clear and well thought of. It can be for recruitment, orientation, sales, events etc. The effectivity of the video will depend on the impact of the message you’re sending across. The audience should be able to relate to your message.

  1. What platform are you planning to deliver your message?

The platform can be online or offline. The shorter the better. An animated video can be as short as 15 seconds and can be as long as 15 minutes. It all depends on how engaging your video is. In a usual youtube video, the usual length of viewing is between 10 seconds to 2 minutes. The length doesn’t matter as long as you can keep the audience anticipating for more.

  1. How do you want your audience to react?

The effectivity of the message is the reaction of the audience. What feelings have you invoked after they have watched your video. The information should be incorporated in a way that your audience empathize with your message. Your brand, company or business will leave a mark on your audience if you tickled their imagination and made your video memorable.

  1. What is your Call to action?

After the whole video is finished, what do you want your audience to do? Do you want them to email you, subscribe, like, share, buy, etc. It is totally up to you. Keep in mind your branding (logo) and the link where they can communicate with you. If the video is for internal purposes you can always end with a THANK YOU.
